Retired
Nurse Speaks on Medicare & HR 676
Retirees Now Committee are an active group of retirees
volunteering our time at shopping centers, forums, seminars, street fairs and
meetings with vital information on our agenda. The importance of single-payer
universal health care for all in the United States is our number one priority.
By engaging in important political battles to protect and preserve programs
vital to the health and economic security of retirees.
It was open to the public. This forum helped explain what Medicare for All/Single Payer Health Care is and how it could be implemented in New Jersey and all across the nation. The Congress bill, HR 676, can be viewed for clarification.
This forum
provided retirees and Medicare recipients with an in-depth look at some of
the major proposals and their implications for the coverage they may or may
not already receive.
Since retiree healthcare issues have been largely ignored by Congress,
Retirees Now! has decided to lead the charge to see that Medicare for All
(H.R. 676 in the 112th Congress) gets passed. It is essential that
protections, similar to those afforded by ERISA for pensions, be put in
place to protect promised healthcare benefits.
